NumericalImplicitization :: MaxThreads

MaxThreads -- specifies the maximum number of processor threads

This option sets the maximum number of processor threads that will be used for parallel computation. This distributes the paths to track in each monodromy loop among the processors as evenly as possible. The value of this option should not exceed the value of the variable allowableThreads. The default value is $1$.

Parallel computation in $Macaulay2$ is under development. Unexpected errors may be printed to output while computing a pseudo-witness set - however, the loop will still run, and an answer will still be returned.

If the number of paths to track is too low (i.e. less than or equal to $20$), then parallel computing will not be used.
